Merit Health Rankin is located in Brandon, the county seat of Rankin County, one of the fastest growing counties in Mississippi. We enjoy a prime location just minutes from the Jackson-Evers International Airport, major interstates and downtown Jackson. Rankin County's healthcare index rating is higher than many counties in the nation, attributable in part to the presence of Merit Health Rankin and its affiliated medical clinics.
Rankin County enjoys a national ranking as one the U.S.'s Top 10 rural places in which to live. The county offers an enviable quality of life for residents due to a high-ranking school district filled with innovative and modern schools, progressive neighborhoods and shopping centers, churches representing every denomination, and numerous recreational spots, including parks, lakes, bike trails and athletic facilities.
Rankin County is surrounded by national forests, the 33,000 acre Ross Barnett Reservoir, and the second largest river in the state, the Pearl River. Each of these resources offers a multitude of outdoor and recreational activities for residents and visitors.
