David Henry
Chief Executive Officer
David Henry has been with Merit Health since 2021. During his tenure, he has served as chief executive officer at Merit Health Central and Merit Health Madison.
In his 16 years of healthcare experience, David has been involved in opening a new hospital, growing service lines, enhancing patient satisfaction and recruiting physicians. He has extensive knowledge of healthcare operations, as well as the importance of building strong, positive relationships between the medical staff and the community.
David earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, and his Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
He is very active in the community where he serves on several boards. He and his wife Mackenzie reside in the city of Madison and have twin teenage daughters, Helen and Charlotte.
Justin Stroud
Chief Financial Officer
Justin Stroud serves as the chief financial officer of Merit Health Rankin. In addition, Justin is also the CFO for Merit Health Central.
Justin is a licensed certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is an active member of Rotary International, the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the First Baptist Church Jackson Worship Choir.
Stacey Wilbourne, RN, BSN
Director of Nursing Services
Stacey has over 25 years of nursing experience, having begun her career at Merit Health River Oaks in 1999 as a staff nurse. Her remarkable trajectory has seen her assume key leadership roles such as nursing supervisor and trauma program manager. Stacey earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Western Governors University, and throughout her career, she has been recognized for her commitment to patient care and clinical excellence.
Brad Polk, MSN, RN, FNP, EMT-P
Chief Nursing Officer
Brad Polk has over 20 years of nursing experience, 15 of those have been with Merit Health. He served as CNO at Merit Health Madison and ACNO at Merit Health Central. His experience at the hospital prior to that includes time as director of the intensive care and cardiovascular recovery. Polk has also worked as a critical care/ cardiovascular charge nurse at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg and has served as a flight nurse/paramedic with AAA Ambulance Service in Hattiesburg as a member of their critical care transport team.
He completed the family nurse practitioner program and received his master’s degree in nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN, his bachelor’s degree in nursing and biology from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, and his associate’s degree in paramedicine from Jones County Junior College in Ellisville.
